Teach your dog an emergency stop.

Perfect for any dog with a high prey drive.

Be honest, now. I won’t be offended. Are you thinking – “Teach my dog an emergency stop? – What on earth are you on about, Tracey.”

Have a watch of this video and I'll explain.

If any of these are true:

💡 If you dropped the lead, your dog would be off.

💡 Your dog might run off chasing a bird/squirrel/deer and get themselves into trouble – by running through fields of livestock or onto roads.

💡 You regularly feel like your dog doesn’t listen to you when they are off the lead.

💡 You recall your dog so often that they don’t listen to you as much anymore and you KNOW their recall isn’t as good as it was.

Then you NEED to teach your dog an emergency stop.

I’ve even used an emergency stop to help with my dog who was trying to chase seagulls while on her lead.

Not only will emergency stops keep your dog safer – AND you safer from the risk of legal troubles – they are ALSO fun to teach and easy to practice on walks.

I have an online class called Sensational Stops that will show you exactly how to teach this valuable skill to your dog.

Hi – I’m Tracey and I’ve been living with over excited dogs for years now. Cuillin – my wonderful collie cross – was so excited about rabbits, cats, and squirrels that he was hard to walk when he was young. My Staffie cross, Roxy, like many dogs like her, gets excited about many things. She injured my back quite badly when she first moved in because of the way her excitement made her behave on the lead. I used some the things I teach in the class to help her be calmer on the lead. Touch wood, my back has been fine for years now.

I have over 15 years of experience and am also fully qualified to give advice and support with dog behaviour and training. I have a BSc (hons) degree in Canine Behaviour and Training. I am a Tellington TTouch Practitioner and an ACE Advanced Tutor. I am currently studying for an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training and have made prey drive in dogs a focus for my time as a student. I have a particular focus on dogs with a high prey drive.

“The course was very easy to follow and enabled you to reward your dog at each stage.”
